We keep our house at 60 most of the winter, we turn it up if it feels chilly. Well my shopping is all done except for a card for my wife, I only procrastinated a little this year.

I would be running around in fur coats at that temp! schools keep theirs at 65--which is still a bit on the chilly side (if I remember rightly from my hs days....when everyone wanted to wear their coats in the classrooms are were told it was forbidden and then we all got hoodies---what they call them now).

hubby has these few days off...so we...slept in, and napped all day (hard life I know)...was nice not to have a list of stuff to get done....well that would be for tomorrow---and on saturday I am making cinnamon rolls (its what hubby wants for xmas) from scratch--recipe I got back in my college days--he really likes it and it makes HUGE rolls! (I know whats for breakfast on xmas day, boxing day....)

My room at work (it's a school) is usually around 60-65. My room is one of the furthest from the boiler room so a lot of the heat is lost by the time it gets to my room. So it is always chilly there. So 65 isn't bad.

"The Hobbit" was the start of my love for the fantasy world and hence all such video games that followed and how I arrived here at Guru. The other night I saw the trailer for the movie and I really wish I could time travel.

bleh--bad day, lots of stuff to do, only made worse by the stupid pharmacy messing up my presciption yet AGAIN

....(your insurance wont pay until monday--gee that doesnt help me when I need it TOMORROW)....so back to the crummy walgreens

...where yes they DID have the correct presciption and yes, gee, my insurance DID work today!

had a nice nap since I had no sleep last night......though 2 hours doesnt make up for the 6+ I was thinking about getting last night.....

Ya, my fiancee is excited about it as well. She loved all the LoTR movies. I read all the books but still kinda meh. Watching a 2 and a half to 3 hour long movie can bore me big time.

Well got to pack tomorrow and head to my parents for Christmas Eve and Christmas. Should be fun. Looking forward to spending time with my family since I missed out on Thanksgiving.

ah....twas the night before christmas when all thru my condo, not a creature was stirring except Fiep my mouse.
My hubby was snuggled and snug in our bed with visions of anime dancing thru his head...when out in the hall I heard such a clatter...I sprang from my couch to see what was the matter....

/sigh...another year another noisy celebration next door.....my hubby snoring in our bed, and me, yep, here on guru instead.

it worked out ok....the neighbors left about 2am...I watched dr who xmas specials until 5am...and then elbowed my hubby until I finally fell asleep....

today..making homemade cinnamon rolls! (with real live yeast and cake flour....havent made these in decades....)....the dough is rising...and I will be napping real soon----

...it was the effort to get him to stop snoring long enough for me to fall asleep....takes about an hour or so....if I am lucky...otherwise, the couch has seen quite a few naps

I got sick 1 day before christmas so had to cancel on my family <3.

Not that it mattered much to me, but merry christmas ( a little late) to you all.

And be carefull around new years, New years is GW for me i think.

Azzer so did I, my dad was working Xmas day (being Santa an all, kidding. But on Xmas day I wanted to bury my pukey self, family wouldn't allow it), but I had trouble holding down food and beer. Something made me feel vomitous for two days (potential suspects = frozen pizza or gammon steaks!)
